Explore Fuerteventura

Wanderer: traveller, vagabond, adventurer.

Fuerteventura is the second largest island of the Canary Archipelago, located in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 100 km off the coast of Africa. This Spanish island is famous for its beautiful white sand beaches that stretch for more than 150 km.

Tip: Tip: Stay in a new, fully equipped villa with 5 beds.

Basic information

  • Area: 1 660 km²
  • Population: approximately 120,000
  • Capital: Puerto del Rosario
  • Highest point: Pico de la Zarza (807 m above sea level)

Natural conditions

Fuerteventura has a predominantly desert landscape with a volcanic surface (we can only recommend hiking up a volcano) and a dry climate. Temperatures here can range from 18 to 40 °C, but the weather is stable all year round, around 21 °C in winter, with wind-cooled air in summer. The windy weather brings sand from the Sahara, creating the unique sand dunes on the east coast.

Tip: We can tailor-make sightseeing and guided tours to suit your requirements.

Tourist attractions

  1. Endless beaches: the island offers more than 150 natural beaches, including the famous Playa de Sotavento.
  2. Water sports: ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding.
  3. Corralejo Natural Park.
  4. Historic towns: Betancuria with its 17th century church and 15th century Franciscan monastery.
  5. Oasis Wildlife: Zoo with shows of sea lions, birds of prey and parrots.

Fuerteventura is the ideal destination for lovers of sun, beaches and water sports, as well as for those seeking peace and relaxation in a unique island landscape.
